Friends of Safe Journey, As many of you know, Safe Journey operates a furniture program for survivors of domestic violence who are rebuilding their lives. This program is truly a lifeline to these families. We have had a busy few months and have several families in immediate need of assistance.
We were was notified today supplies are virtually depleted. We are in urgent need of gently used furniture (beds, couches, chairs, dressers, kitchen tables & chairs, side tables, etc), kitchen items (pots & pans, dishes, silverware, glassware, small appliances - working only please), bedding (primarily twin and queen), towels, and TVs.
Please note: Safe Journey does NOT accept baby furniture, toys or clothing of any kind.
If you have any items available to donate, please call the program coordinator, Alice Anderson, 388-1706 or contact her by email, alice.anderson@rochester .rr.com. Pick-up can be arranged.
Thanks so much for your support! It is only through your generosity that we can serve these deserving families. http://www.safejourney.org/

Sensei Jim Snow was promoted to the rank of renshi, in addition to the Roku-Dan (sixth degree) he currently holds. Shihan Cyndy Jones announced his promotion at the opening of the black belt test she held in Bergen.
Renshi is a title applied to those who have disciplined themselves to a master, and yet are themselves highly qualified teachers. The literal translation of renshi is "polished teacher".
